Descripction

Another of the typical desserts in the area. Consumed preferably in Holy Week and Christmas Holidays.

 

Ingredients

  • 1 glass of virgin olive oil

  • 1 glass of white wine

  • 1 cup sweet anise

  • 1 kg of flour

  • 1 kg of sugar

  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

  • 1 tablespoon matalahúva

  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon

  • 1 lemon

  • Grains of salt

Preparation

Oil the sesame oil with the sesame seeds, the matalahúva, and the lemon peel, letting it cool. Then the glass of wine, the smoked oil, half the cinnamon, the anise, the lemon scrape and some grains of salt are poured into a bowl. It mixes well and the flour is added until it takes off from the hands. After kneading it very well, it stretches with a roller, cutting them into regular pieces and frying them in abundant oil. They are removed from the heat and start to drain, then sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
