Cristobal Relaño (Las Majadillas)

Located halfway to the Sendero de la Centenera, in the public forest called El Baldío, about 9.5 km from the town of Marmolejo.

This viewpoint attracts by the divergence of its landscapes, on one side the agricultural landscape of the fertile plain of the Guadalquivir and on the other, the forest landscape of Sierra Morena. In the distance you can see the town of Marmolejo, as well as other towns in the Jaén countryside. We advise the visitor to turn his gaze from time to time to the sky, as it is possible to see eagles such as the short-toed or the real, which will surprise us.

Los Alarcones

It is located on the JV-5001 road (Andujar-El Centenillo), at the height of km 23.9. The road presents a mediocre state of conservation. From this viewpoint we can have a panoramic view of the mountain range and its slopes to the valley of the Guadalquivir, showing us in the distance the mountains of Ambroz and Los Calderones.

The landscape that is offered to us is formed by meadows, whose woodland is made up of holm oaks and cork oaks, where a large number of recognized cattle ranches are found. Many game species find shelter and food in these meadows, both big game (deer, mouflon, fallow deer, etc.), and little game (rabbit, partridge, pigeon), being also usual sighting of an eagle in search of food.

Jandula Reservoir

Located just before reaching the Jandula reservoir, from this viewpoint you can see a beautiful landscape, in which rounded hills follow one another with deformed extensions around the reservoir. The effect of the reflections of the terrain on the dammed waters provides a beautiful picture. It is curious to contemplate the clear line that borders the edges of the hills, which suggests how far the water level reaches in rainy seasons.

A suitable time to visit this viewpoint is the fall, when the deer will give us the sound show of the bellow and, with a bit of luck, we will be able to contemplate the fight of the males horn against horn.
